Using the Helix Steel Design Methodology for ICF Structures

Please join us for a comprehensive review of the application of Helix Steel Micro-Rebar™  in ICF construction. After introducing Helix Steel Micro-Rebar™, we will go over the history of Helix Steel in ICF, code compliance, design and best practices. Actual past projects will be used to illustrate how Helix Steel Micro-Rebar™ was designed into ICF structures and how it added value through reduction of rebar and time savings. The focus will be on the engineering calculations required for design as well as the detailing requirements.

- Participants will achieve a basic understanding of Helix Steel TSMR design principles and code approvals as they apply to ICF construction.

- Participants will be able to use the Helix Steel ICF design tables to select an appropriate dosage to replace original rebar specified in a below and above grade wall.

 - Participants will learn how to properly detail an ICF structure, in particular they will learn where rebar must remain in a Helix Steel reinforced structure.
