Virginia Tech students in the School of Architecture + Design collaborated with the City of Radford’s tourism department to highlight the region’s train history. The cross-disciplinary team of students and faculty, led by Kay Edge and Edward Becker, designed and built the New River Train Observatory, a unique structure offering dramatic views of the railway line.
