The Ridge at Kettle Creek

Canada, British Columbia, Langford

I’d rather spend a few dollars more to do it right. But in the case of Helix Micro Rebar, it was the best of both worlds, a far better product and less expensive than conventional reinforcement.

By utilizing Helix Steel’s 5-25 product in the wall footings, ICF Walls, and slabs, Liberty Ridge Homes was able to eliminate over 330,000 lbs of rebar and reduce the global warming potential by over 50%. In working with unison with the Hobbs Vertical ICF system, Helix optimized the overall design over three stories of the 8-plex buildings. Specific challenges for this project included seismic zone designs and a thinner wall profile of 5.25″, both of which required a higher dosage of Helix.
